Baptism - for infants and small children. Parents are required to attend two information classes before scheduling a baptism. These classes are held periodically. Baptisms are celebrated during the regular weekend masses except during the season of Lent For baptism of older children and adults see the RCIA information.

First Reconciliation - Parents and children are required to attend two workshops. Children with their families will participate in a Rite of Enrollment during a Sunday mass. First Reconciliation is required before reception of First Eucharist.

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. This is the process through which new members join the faith community. It is also an opportunity for any one curious about the Catholic Faith to come and ask questions.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

PREP - Parish Religious Education Program. PREP is a program for the children of the parish who do not attend St. Pius X School. Classes begin the Sunday after Labor Day until the middle of May. Class time is from 9:30 until 10:45 am between the two masses for children from 3 years old to the 8th grade.

Friendship Groups - Sessions are led by adults for the Freshmen and Sophomore age youth. There are activities and retreats in addition to the regular meetings. Usually the meetings are on Sunday evenings. Once a month on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. there is a Youth Mass.

Funeral Dinner VolunteersFuneral Dinners - The parish offers to the family of a deceased member the opportunity to gather after the funeral for a meal and a time for visiting. We offer this as a support for them during their time of sorrow. We ask members of the parish to donate a dish. We have a team of volunteers who set up, serve and clean up. Engaged Encounter
- This is a required weekend preparation program for those wanting to be married in the diocese of Jefferson City. St. Pius is the host site for this program. For further information contact the Chancery Office 573- 635-9127.

TEC - Teens Encounter Christ is a retreat program for 16 years and older. During this weekend teens minister to other teens encouraging a closer relationship with Jesus. St. Pius X is one of several host sites. For further information contact Fr. Mike or the Chancery Office 573-635-9127.

St. Mary's Cemetery - The cemetery is located off of N. Morley Street, turning east on Taylor Street to the end of the street. It was established in 1879 and is still in use today. For information contact Herb Lawrence, 263-5833 or Pat Hinz, 263-2138.
